Zgard formed in autumn 2010, when during the recording of their second album Goverla decided to change the name of both the project and album. At that time, already seriously Yaromysl thought that Goverla will no longer exist as a band. In their debut album "Spirit of carpathian sunset" includes three songs from the repertoire of Goverla, as well as new songs, which gave rise to a new sound and concept Zgard. The album should have been released in the spring of 2011 the German label Darker Than Black Records, but due to unforeseen circumstances, he was released only on 16 January 2012.
