Rik Kooyman, aka Myrkur, started his Dj carreer in January 2008, after receiving positive feedback from the Dutch dubstep community for his track ‘Entanglement’. In January he contributed to U-Dub’s Viral Radio show, and in February he had his first gig on the Deep Medi II night in the Melkweg – Amsterdam. Since March 2008, Myrkur has been the resident dj of Dubstance in Nieuwe Nor, Heerlen.
