Drum and Bass Producer, DJ. Influx UK was born in 1970 in Canning Town, East London, and has been creating music since the age of 9, when he first got his hands on his parent's music system and began making edits of records onto cassette tapes using the tape pause button. At 11, he used to watch his dad playing guitar in a band, and learnt the bass and guitar by watching. Around 1985, when he was 15, the early wave of hip-hop came to the UK from the USA, and young Influx found himself scratching and mixing on a pair of school-disco turntables set up in his bedroom.
